You need to be a visible, inspiring leader who can promote a culture of partnership, innovation and constant improvement. You must be a demonstrably high achiever, capable of leading from the front and empowering those around you to excel. Significant experience in serving at a senior, executive level in a large complex organisation is essential, preferably within or at the helm of the senior management team of a large unitary or similar authority. You will be adept at building partnerships, managing stakeholders and encouraging cross-sector activities that drive change and innovation. Credible and charismatic, you will articulate clear goals, define strategies for delivery and inspire others to achieve.
